What Happened To The Whistle?

Hello Dear Readers! Long time no Whistle!
As many of you know, I had a stream of medical issues which caused me to resign from City Council about a year ago. Click link below for the best article that was written at the time. To be clear, although bullying was cited, the main issue was always my health. It will be another 6-12 months before I recover completely. In the meantime, I'm noticing what is occurring in town, and trying to stay abreast of the issues.
It's almost time to VOTE for new council members. Along those lines, I encourage you to cast your ballot for Ron Duncan, position # 4. He is smart, engaged, and faithfully attends meetings. I'm a political Independent, so what matters most to me is good ideas and integrity. He has both. I believe Ron will provide intelligent diversity of opinion on the ( IMHO) politicized and unbalanced Leavenworth council. https://voter.votewa.gov/GenericVoterGuide.aspx?e=894&c=04#/candidates/166575
In terms of this column, unfortunately strong members of the Whistle Team, who were phenomenal researchers and extremely attentive and knowledgeable about issues and codes, have moved from our town. Politics was a big driver in their decision to leave. The Whistle may be an opinion column, but being super accurate has always been of paramount importance. Without their help, it will be difficult for me to provide the level of context and depth you could trust in these pages.
However, don't give up hope! Perhaps new researchers and experts will emerge to assist in the upcoming months. If so, this column may ride again! AND I still believe in SPEAKING OUT to the powers that be. Call facts to the attention of elected officials. Demand response- especially when the majority of the community takes issue with decisions being made.
